The Merk II combines a four channel stereo mixer with a multi-platform codec in one box, offering a versatile and compact solution for Electronic News Gathering and Outside Broadcasts. A high quality audio mixer caters for up to four mic/line channels, and extensive monitoring for operators and reporters. The Merk II will connect to ISDN-BRI for links to studios, but Audio-over-IP is offered to allow feeds over WAN/LAN connections. Up to 8 destinations may be fed with audio simultaneously using MPEG AAC at 64 kBit/s. Merk II is designed for professional applications, and is housed in a small rugged case, with a sloped front panel for situations where workspace is limited.
