Once configured, the unit will maintain a connection to the source encoder or server, making it suited to applications where a PC is neither acceptable or required. The Ganymed 1002A is a low maintenance, dependable "set and forget" codec with SNMP remote management capabilities and the ability to monitor TWO IP streams simultaneously (Multicast) and switch between them. This unit, when used in conjunction with the Centauri 4001 Streaming server, is ideally suited to In Store and In Branch Radio / Audio services and audio distribution with no ongoing licencing issues to contend with! This is a professional Broadcast quality IP decoding solution for revenue impacting applications.
