Combining audio codecs with IP audio server, the Centauri is a 'lots in a box' solution for delivering audio over a LAN/WAN or the internet. The unit includes four separate codecs which can provide differing programme streams, at bit rates and using different coding algorithms.
This would make it suitable for internet radio, or audio distribution and remote monitoring applications.
Independent digital and analogue audio inputs are included, as well as an optical ADAT digital input which allows four stereo inputs to be assigned to the encoders
