With its BNC or optical MADI input and output an unlimited number of MAD1 can be put in a "daisy-chain" with a negligible latency of just a few samples. Its dual Express Card I/O can be used for e.g. redundant multi-track field recording.

A freestanding desktop device, this top class MADI headphone amplifier selects mono or stereo signals out of up to three MADI streams and offers them for monitoring purposes via the front panel headphone interface.

It provides either Optical or BNC interfaces, dependent upon the version selected, for MADI and additionally, can access two further RME Fireface MADI signals. An additional advantage for applications is the possibility to route MADI signals between the offered interfaces, e.g. for redundant "Field Recording" or via the RME Express interfaces.
