APT Oslo E1/T1 Transport Card

Product Description

The E1/T1 module is still a common choice for audio transport due to the reliability and widespread availability of both E1 and T1 circuits. There are two physical slots to accommodate transport modules on the WorldNet Oslo: one for the main or primary circuit and a second for backup, bridging or crossover of up to four E1 lines. The E1 module is available with both RJ45 and BNC connectors.

The WorldNet Oslo E1 module also provides an inter-card high speed connection to indicate its status to the second stand-by multiplexer (if fitted). In the event of a main circuit or primary card failure, the backup module can replicate the whole payload from the active device, minimizing disruption.

Contribution Data & Clocking - Any data received by the X.21 port is then placed onto the E1 transport link enabling an X.21 extension over the E1 line, further options include the provision of an IP Ethernet RJ45 socket in place of the X.21 DCE connection for IP WAN extension over the E1 circuit. In combination with the external clock input, these modules provide versatile system timing options to connect to virtually any network.
